Wet n Wild Single Eyeshadow in 252B, Nutty
0.06 oz.-Made in China-$1.99-Permanent
My new favorite brown eyeshadow!
Nutty is from the permanent single eyeshadow collection from Wet n Wild, and I've found this to be among some of the best quality makeup I've ever used. Like ever.
The color is simply gorgeous-a bronzey brown that's perfect for summer. I've heard it compared to Satin Taupe by MAC, but I think that Satin Taupe has more purple undertones than this. I think Nutty is very, very similar to Bad to the Bronze Color Tattoo by Maybelline.
Now the texture of Nutty is what really sets it above the rest. It's so incredibly buttery and creamy-to the point where I recommend to put it on with your fingers than a brush to get better results. There's no cosmetic smell or anything, and the powder just glides across your lids.
As for staying power, I do think that it lasts a while on my eyelids, but it differs from person to person so you can't completely trust my judgment.
Here's what the ingredients list looks like:
First three ingredients- talc, aluminum starch octenylsuccinate, dimethicone
Parabens- methyl & propyl
I would probably be running out to get the rest of these if it didn't include parabens in the ingredients list.
As a side note, there's two permanent lines of these singles-the regular, older line, and the new glitter line.
The price, the color, the pigmentation, the texture, the packaging!
Parabens are included :(
The Bottom Line
I would have given it a full 10 if it didn't include parabens. Companies just need to embrace the paraben-free generation, in my opinion. It would really help their sales if they did!
